No one close to Jennifer Lopez seems surprised about her split from Marc Anthony
Like us we should imagine you were pretty shocked when Jennifer Lopez announced her split, and impending divorce, from Marc Anthony on Friday.Perhaps we were being a little naïve, but we thought the couple looked pretty happy together still. In a statement the pair’s spokesperson said:
“We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters. It was a painful time for all involved.”
Absolutely no one close to Jennifer Lopez (who’ll now have three divorces under her belt by the way) seems surprised by the split though. A pal of the singer's told the press on Friday:
"Jennifer has been very open about how much she is tired of dealing with Marc's bad attitude."
“She couldn't wait to make this announcement. She has been planning this for months but wanted to make sure her assets were protected before she files. Jennifer has been really concerned about how the kids were going to react. They love their dad, but she wanted to make sure they grow up in a positive and healthy family environment. All of us have noticed Jen and Marc's relationship going downhill fast."
Her stylist meanwhile chipped in saying:
"This is not a surprise. Marc is very controlling. In the beginning she liked that because he stood up to her, and in the early days he was very much in love with her and she was with him."
So now it’s over, sad face, but we’ve no doubt Jennifer Lopez will be getting her grubby mitts on another famous fella sometime very soon. Anyone want to hazard a guess as to who it’ll be?
